This could benefit our world in several ways. For one thing, it could lead to a new era of personalized medicine, where treatments can be tailor-made to suit an individual’s genetic makeup. Or it could aid the development of genetically modified organisms designed to enhance crop yield, nutritional value, and resistance to pests.
