I got my first job at McDonald’s when I was 16, earning £3.35 per hour. It was a great experience in terms of understanding how to take on instruction and how to work under pressure. It was the best learning curve. Over time, I did all sorts of jobs in hospitality and retail. At one point, I worked in customer services at Transport for London. I wanted to take the pressure off my mum and be financially independent. I just wanted to make as much money as possible.
In the early days, I’d often make between £50 to £100 per day. Some days were really bad. While very variable, in the last few months I’ve been making around £14,000 to £15,000 or so per month via my work as a livestreaming DJ on TikTok.
