We all have our colour preferences, so sometimes it’s more difficult to get the ones we want. On the other hand, there are those players who don’t even know you can change colours before starting the match.
Your colours are assigned by default when playing the Campaign missions. However, when setting up a custom game lobby, you can change the colours. This works in both single-player and multiplayer. On the lobby setup screen, selecting the Player column next to your name will let you pick one of the 12 available colours. You can pick between:All players have to be of different colours, even if they play as part of the same Team.
Besides the aesthetic, the colour you pick has no effect on the game in any way. It won’t give you any benefits or drawbacks and only serves to differentiate your units and buildings from those of the other players.
