Just ask Emma Grant., Emma’s position involves ensuring that shopping sustainably and peer-to-peer is as smooth and inclusive a process as possible.
We put some questions to Emma to glean some career insights – and inspiration for others keen to make their love of vintage something more than a hobby.I’ve always been interested in the world of business.
After graduating, I took on my first job working at a marketing consultancy. I worked for my first retail clients, developing websites for them, and discovered my passion for all things shopping-related. I went on to work in a range of digital marketing roles before starting with eBay in 2009. I was a long-time lover of the platform, especially the fashion side of the site as I often used it to buy and sell old clothes. I jumped at the chance.
Since then, I have honed my skills and carved out a niche for myself in the pre-loved category, combining my three passions in life: business, technology and vintage fashion. I love what I do everyday, pioneering sustainable shopping and forging a career within an organisation that I have always admired.
