This Sunday, the clocks will go back by one hour, but your sleeping pattern doesn't have to suffer - here are some genuine hacks to ensure that you still get a good night's sleep
For many Brits, the clocks going back is an annual event that is welcomed with open arms, purely due to the fact that it provides people with an extra hour of sleep. Or, if you're a bit of a party animal, an extra 60 minutes of dance floor time.
One thing's for sure though - regardless of whether you don't think it'll make a difference to you, or you know you'll need to reset your body clock accordingly - it is handy to have some sleeping tips in your back pocket so as to not entirely wreck your sleeping pattern. Try going to bed an hour later than you normally would and waking up an hour later than usual, as this will allow your body to get used to the change.
While you may find it easy to sleep after a night of partying, you'll no doubt have experienced the annoying wake up induced by alcohol, where you end up tossing and turning and not being able to sleep full stop. Exercise during the day We all know exercise is a non negotiable for your overall health, but in terms of getting a good night's kip, working out is actually important for generating deep sleep. This sleep stage is especially significant, as it's responsible for helping you to feel refreshed in the morning, plus promote sleep continuity.
