After taking a two-week Olympic break, the NASCAR Cup Series is back in business on Sunday evening at Richmond (Virginia) Raceway.

Denny Hamlin will aim to become the first driver to sweep Richmond Raceway’s two races since Martin Truex Jr. in 2019 when he takes the green flag on Sunday night.
“I feel like we made some really good adjustments between the two rounds, and I was able to execute the lap I was trying to execute,”Truex, who is retiring from full-time racing after this season, is still seeking his first victory of the year. At Richmond in March, Truex was in good shape to win before a late caution sent all the contenders to pit road. Hamlin ultimately prevailed in overtime.
Seven drivers have already clinched a spot in the 16-driver postseason: Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Larson, Reddick, Hamlin, Byron and Bell.
