The new prices are in place at some Wetherspoon pubs
Pub chain Wetherspoon has cut the price of its breakfasts to as low as £2.79, although some pubs might charge an extra 20p. To see if the breakfast is worth shelling out £3 for, journalist Lynette Pinchess visited a branch to give it a go. While she didn't describe it as a 'culinary masterpiece', Lynette was impressed with the speed of service - her meal arrived in just four minutes and she felt she got value for money.
' She described her meal in detail: 'The renowned blue and white floral plate has a fried egg, one rasher of bacon, a Lincolnshire sausage, one hash brown and baked beans. Not a ramekin in sight nor sprigs of greenery, which I know will delight some. No one in their right mind would be expecting a culinary masterpiece for £2.
