Santa tracker 2019: Nasa reveals how to see Father Christmas’ sleigh for three minutes on Christmas EveNasa revealed families can track him in space as he heads out delivering presents to kids around the globe.Father Christmas will be 'disguised' as the International Space StationFather Christmas and his reindeers will be visible in Britain for three minutes from 6.05am on Xmas Eve.
Those looking in a south-westerly direction at that time will spot what looks like a ‘fast-moving plane’ travelling thousands of miles an hour.The station is the third brightest object in the sky but is still only bright enough to be seen at dawn or dusk. Explaining what to look out for Nasa says: “Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and travelling thousands of miles an hour faster.”The ISS is set to pass over the UK again for two minutes at 5.18am and again for four minutes at 6.52am.
However, it is not bright enough to be seen during the day and can only be spotted by human eyes at dawn or dusk.
