A major search operation is underway Emergency services have been searching for several hours after two teenage boys got into difficulty in a river. The two boys went missing in the water near Ovingham Bridge in Northumberland shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday. Police, specialist paramedics and the fire service raced to the scene, alongside an air ambulance, and a road closure was put in place. The boys have not yet been named publicly. ‘We dispatched our full Hazardous Area Response Team as well as two ambulance crews, a specialist paramedic, a clinical team leader and an officer.
