One witness said they had never seen so many emergency response vehicles in one place.
A huge multi-agency rescue has been carried out at a Scots reservoir after a man became trapped in the mud.
One driver, who witnessed the incident, at lunchtime on Wednesday, said: ”I’ve never seen so many emergency vehicles in one spot. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: ”The incident happened on Aurs Road at Newton Mearns. “We mobilised two water rescue packages, appliances and two pumps to Balgray Reservoir. The man has now been freed.”
