There is a large emergency services response in the village of Broadbottom this evening amid reports that someone fell in the water during the annual duck race.
GMP said they were called to reports of person in difficulty in the water off Hodge Lane. Police remain at the scene.Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have sent a water incident response unit and a technical response unit.The condition of the person involved or whether they have been recovered or rescued is not known.“At approximately 7.50pm this evening firefighters were called to assist Greater Manchester Police at an incident on Hodge Lane.
