A huge energy supplier has launched what it claims is the 'cheapest energy bill deal' on the market. EDF's Essentials Fixed one year Sep25v2 promises families savings of £68 a year – and is available to new and existing customers who have a smart meter, or will agree to have one installed.
Sept26v2, which will fix prices until 2026, is priced at £1,669 and again claims to be the 'cheapest energy-only deal' of the major suppliers. Their new deal comes days after OVO Energy pulled their cheap fixed deal, which could have saved a typical family £132 from October. 'EDF's one-year fix is priced at £1,649 and offers a competitive saving of £68, making it the next best deal on the market, and the cheapest of the large suppliers.'
The British Gas Energy Trust Individuals and Families Fund is available to both British Gas customers and those who use other suppliers. You may qualify to get a grant of up to £2,000 to pay off your energy bills. Find out more and how to apply here
