Swedish ferry firm has secured Bore Song to travel on its route between Birkenhead and Dublin
Stena Line has announced that a new vessel will be operating on its Merseyside to Dublin route. The Swedish company has secured a freight only vessel, Bore Song, to operate on the route, which travels between Birkenhead and Dublin. The ship will boost freight capacity on the route by 30%. Stena Line’s Liverpool -Dublin dedicated freight service has been operational since February 15, 2024 with Stena Horizon serving customers temporarily, whilst the company searched for a longer-term solution.

With capacity for almost 3,000 lane metres of freight, the ship will provide significantly more space and is said to be well suited for this unaccompanied freight route.
