Major announcement will see city's five individual NHS trusts brought much closer together
A major shake-up in how NHS hospitals in Liverpool operate has been announced today. The changes will look to bring the city's five acute and specialist trusts closer together and could see a controversial move for the city's Women's hospital move a step closer.
It will help streamline decision-making and develop further collaboration opportunities recognising the challenges with the demand for services, workforce capacity and finance that all impact on the quality of patient services. In this way we can create sustainable health care systems for the future that deliver on improving patient care and outcomes in the years ahead.
