The Wolverine star, 56, has opened up about his cancer fears as he urged people to get checked after undergoing a biopsy on his nose last year - with the results being shown in a new documentary.
Hugh Jackman has shared his experience of being tested for cancer. The Wolverine star disclosed last year that he had a biopsy on his nose to test for a mild form of skin cancer.
He also made a direct appeal to viewers, urging them to get tested if they have any worries. "I promise, you won't regret it," he stated. Last year, Hugh told fans that doctors were checking him for basal cell as reported in the Mirror. Speaking about the outcome on his Instagram, he informed his followers: "MY BIOPSIES CAME BACK NEGATIVE! ! ! Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for helping get this very important message out. PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR SUNSCREEN WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF SPF . Love. HJ."
Hugh has endured multiple skin cancer removals since his first one in 2013, which have included periods during filming for The Greatest Showman. Sharing his story on BBC's The One Show in 2021, he notably addressed what he called "the elephant in the room", referencing the plaster seen on his nose.
