The head of the UN has warned the 'climate time-bomb is ticking'. 9News

Professor Peter Thorne, one of dozens of authors on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's synthesis report, said the world had run out of time to think of climate change as "somebody else's problem". His comments were in no way designed to take the heat off governments, which the authors said were critical in the essential push to slash carbon pollution and fossil fuel use by nearly two-thirds by 2035.Professor Peter Thorne speaks after the release of the IPCC's synthesis report on March 20, 2023.
It mentioned the benefits more individual actions such as walking, cycling and switching to a low-carbon diet based on plants could have beyond just emissions reductions.
