Humza Yousaf has called the UK Government’s failure to back a ceasefire in Gaza “unconscionable” and revealed he hasn’t heard from relatives in the war zone for over 24 hours.
The First Minister has demanded an immediate ceasefire and has been left furious by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Keir Starmer’s refusal to do the same. “The vast majority of them are innocent men, women and children who have nothing to do with Hamas and had nothing to do with those atrocious attacks. I think the UK has abdicated its global leadership position and any moral leadership it had.
