'I'll not suspend Nicola's membership'
Humza Yousaf has refused to suspend Nicola Sturgeon from the SNP despite her arrest yesterday afternoon.
He told BBC Scotland: "I'll not suspend Nicola's membership. I'll treat her in the same way I've treated, for example, Colin Beattie. The former First Minister was released on Sunday, June 11, without charge pending further investigation. A statement issued by Police Scotland on Sunday , read: "A 52-year-old woman has today, Sunday 11 June 2023, been arrested as a suspect in connection with the ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the Scottish National party.
