Hundreds of people have gathered near Castle Park for two opposing demonstrations.

Tension between the two groups is already high, with video footage showing officers making several arrests as crowds gathered around.

Riot vans have closed Bristol Bridge, concrete missiles have been thrown, and a protester has been bitten by a police dog.Protesters have been heard singing Rule Britannia, "England 'til I die" and "we want our country back".Beer cans have been thrown at the anti-racist group, and some of the rival protesters were baton-charged by officers.
