Around 600 people experienced a taste of life in the Iron Age thanks to the innovative Cateran Ecomuseum

The event took place in Diamond Jubilee Park in Alyth and was part of the Ecomuseum’s wider Museum of Rapid Transition programme, which is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Cairngorms National Park Authority and the Drumderg Windfarm Community Benefit Fund. “This was the last public-facing event of the current phase of our Museum of Rapid Transition programme, and it was great to see so many people of all ages come along and find out more about how ancient knowledge can inspire future wisdom.

“This era of history is of particular interest to me personally, in terms of how people lived, the skills they had and crafts they produced and how they solved the problems of daily life.
