The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesdays said it would deploy its personnel to track the suspects in the slay of journalist Percy Lapid once the court issues a warrant for their arrest.
“Normally naman po may mga tracker teams naman ang PNP po na nag-conduct ng manhunt operation against wanted persons po.” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo told GMA News Online in a message.
“Thus, in the event the court will issue arrest warrants against the accused named in the murder case of Percy Lapid and Jun Villamor, the PNP will organize tracker teams to lead in the service of these warrants,” she added.Gerald Bantag and others for the killing of Lapid and alleged middleman Cristito Villamor Palaña, who was a person deprived of liberty in the New Bilibid Prison .
