A THREE-year-old Lurcher pup was found "close to death" and with her bones jutting out of her body after she was abandoned by cruel owners just days before Christmas.Little Tiggy was found in a 'horrific' state, with fur missing and bones jutting from her bodyIn shocking pictures, the adorable pup can be seen cowering into a furry blanket.It's clear the pup is shockingly malnourished and does not have an ounce of fat or muscle on her tiny frame.
A spokesperson said: "This dog was in a really horrific state. Someone, somewhere knows who she belongs to, or has seen her about. "This is a shocking and inexcusable case of neglect and we are very keen to get to the bottom of how she came to be in such an emaciated condition and bring the person responsible to account."
The three-year-old pup is now being looked after by foster carers through Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels and is on a special diet to help her gain weight. She is being well looked after, with a snap showing the bright-eyed pup snuggled up in a warm jumper.
