A motorcyclist has lost his leg following a hit-and-run crash inThe collision – which also involved a Mercedes Benz saloon – took place on Gunnersbury Lane, at the junction of Lillian Avenue, in Acton on Sunday, May 21.He was rushed to hospital where his leg was amputated below the knee.He was later found by police, but managed to escape down an alley between two houses.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police reads: ‘The car involved, a silver Mercedes Benz saloon, did not stop at the scene but was found a short distance away.
