Hunt for girl who vanished after cycling into nature reserve three days ago
South Yorkshire Police's Inspector Gareth Thomas said “Skye is only 16 and therefore we are incredibly concerned for her welfare."People living locally may have noticed an increased policing presence around the nature reserve over the last couple of days and this is set to continue while we follow up any and all lines of enquiry available to us.
“Our latest request to residents and businesses based in and around S12 and S13 to check their CCTV footage in case it has captured Skye, or anything else that might help us with our enquiries. "I’d also ask any motorists with dash cameras fitted, who have been travelling through the local area, to go back over your footage from the last couple of days in case there is footage of Skye and you’ve perhaps not realised.
“While the weather is not cold and the evenings are much lighter in the summer, this does not detract from the fact that we have a missing 16-year-old girl whose family is very worried about her.
