Flights at Bush Airport have been canceled for the day, and the public is advised to stay off the roads due to hazardous conditions.Meteorologist Caroline Brown highlighted the severity of the situation, noting that many channels are turning yellow and red on monitoring systems, indicating that they are either near or have exceeded their banks.

A flood watch is issued throughout SE Texas. Several Flash Flood Warnings are in effect stretching from the coast up to The Woodlands.Flash flood warnings, which extends from The Woodlands, Katy, Fulcher, down to Rosenberg and Sugarland, is expected to remain in effect until 9:30 a.m. today. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour have been reported, causing significant street flooding.
