Huw Edwards will stand trial in September The bail conditions of disgraced BBC newsreader Huw Edwards have been revealed – and reportedly include a ban from unsupervised contact with children. Edwards, 62, faces sentencing in September after pleading guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children. The newsreader has been granted provisional bail and warned that ‘all options’ are on the table for his sentencing on September 16 – including an immediate jail term.
Of the messages sent between Edwards and Williams, seven of these were of the most serious kind – category A, while a further 12 are category B, and 22 category C. This includes two videos of a boy who is believed to be between seven and nine years old.
