The mother of Raychel Ferguson, a nine-year-old girl whose death in hospital was found to be avoidable, says she is not surprised a further inquest has been postponed
By Marie-Louise Connollyhas said she is not surprised a further inquest into what happened has been postponed.
Her death was examined as part of the Hyponatremia Inquiry. In 2018 it found it was a result of "negligent care".The inquest was ordered by the attorney general in 2019 and was due to start hearing live evidence on 17 October. Hyponatraemia is an abnormally low level of sodium in blood and can occur when fluids are given incorrectly.
BBC News NI also understands additional information relating to a police investigation has also been drawn to the coroner's attention.
