Eastbound main lanes, one westbound lane and cloverleaf ramps will be closed this weekend. Interchange work 50% done, Texas Department of Transportation says.
After getting a break during Memorial Day weekend, drivers once again will be dealing with a major closure at the interchange of Loop 1604 and Interstate 10. But this weekend, I-10 will be the focus. Drivers have been dealing with closures at the Northwest Side interchange for most weekends so far this year as crews work on building the flyover ramps that will replace the cloverleafs connecting the highways. Most of those closures have involved the main lanes of Loop 1604 .
Those wanting to get back on eastbound I-10 will take the frontage road through the interchange and reenter the highway using the first entrance ramp after the interchange. Those needing to get to eastbound Loop 1604 will take a left at the intersection’s traffic light and get on the eastbound Loop 1604 frontage road. They can get on Loop 1604 using the entrance ramp just before Vance Jackson Road.
