It’s a fair assessment no-one would disagree with. Although unfortunately it rules out any active English coach, unless you’re prepared to lower expectations on the level of trophy.
Sean Dyche won a trophy, too. Again, the Championship, putting him on a par with Howe when it comes to that metric. Rob Edwards, who played some nice football on the way to relegation from the top-flight with Luton, won the League Two trophy at Forest Green. The FA has helped create and nurture a phenomenal crop of young English players who should, if anyone can work out how to fit them together effectively, be able to win the next World Cup, and more.
