A special offer is running at both supermarkets
It's Christmas time, or it almost is, which means thoughts are turning to that all-important roast dinner.
Ordering online from Iceland and receiving it a couple of hours later for just a £1 delivery charge was another bonus, particularly as I had no freezer room to store it all. While Iceland's offer makes more sense, as most people would need more than two sides to feed four people, it seems a little odd to have different offers running from the same range. And it's really not helpful to shoppers who don't have time for that same level of scrutiny.
The best bit was the joint. Cooked from frozen in less than an hour-and-a-half, not only is a decent size, but it tastes great too. You pull it out 10 minutes before the end to cover it with the honey glaze that comes in a sachet and stick it back in for 10 minutes. In fact there was plenty of everything to go round - but another issue I have is the fact that most of this stuff comes with varying times and cooking temperatures, which makes it a bit of a faff. I ended up using both the oven and the air fryer to get it all done at the same time.It was partly my fault for my selection of sides, but it ended up being one slab of meat surrounded by a sea of beige. Not that the other options would have made that much difference.
