For the people of Darwen , there's one sure-fire way to find out Christmas is just around the corner. The Grinch.
As restrictions eased over the years and more people ventured out, the Grinch's notoriety grew and he was causing quite the stir during Christmas 2022. The Grinch, who wishes to remain anonymous, had people stopping him in the street to express their joy over his presence - and this year is no different.
"People have been asking for photos, beeping their horns. In coffee shops they're asking if I want a coffee and people are running out of the shops asking for a photo and pulling over in their cars." "To see people smile, beep and cheer, it's amazing. Next year am hoping to join a local tractor run, it was lovely to see it this year so if I do get the chance that would be awesome."
