A woman has shared how she purposely excluded one child from attending her daughter's fourth birthday party because he was mean to her at school - she doesn't know whether it was the right thing

A mum has sparked a debate after admitting she purposely excluded one child from her daughter's birthday party because he "hasn't learnt to be nice yet". She explained how her four-year-old daughter celebrates her birthday in the school holidays, and wanted to invite all but one classmate from her previous year at school.

She told her daughter how hurtful it could be for the boy to go without an invite, knowing everyone else received one, but she didn't want to budge. She added: "I don't want to force my child to invite someone who she doesn't like and who is mean but at the same time it feels cruel to invite the whole class except one kid.

Before asking users whether she was in the wrong, she shared how her partner agreed they should keep the boy off the invite list. Commenting on the post, one user said: "Absolutely do not force her to invite someone that treats her poorly.
