After everything we have been subjected to over the past few years, I believe everyone needs a holiday at this point.
We spent a long weekend in Szczecin, in north-west Poland, near the German border, earlier this month. Flights to the Polish city start at £22 one-way, and you can get a decent hotel room for around £30 a night. Thankfully the weather was on our side, too, and we began our first day enjoying a lovely and affordable breakfast before exploring the Stare Miasto - Szczecin's old town, parts of which reminded me of Bruges, Kyiv, and Budapest.
