Sounds like a nice weekend treat doesn't it?
It sounds idyllic on the face of it. A retail village with a cafe nestled in the Vale of Belvoir, in the grounds of the spectacular Belvoir Castle, all personally overseen by the Duchess of Rutland herself. Just the sort of place you'd go for a weekend treat - or so I thought.
There are now no parking charges for the retail site, which is good news. I did spend a fair few minutes reading the signs carefully though as I know others have been caught out in the past. Having browsed the shops during our visit, we decided to head to the Fuel Tank for an early lunch - it's the only food outlet on site which appears to be where its problems lie. If there was any competition this place would probably be far less busy.
Half an hour later or so our food arrived. My mum's scrambled egg was cold, the toast barely toasted, and the English breakfasts both arrived with beans, one with black pudding and the other without bacon. No sight of the substitutions we had requested . My son was given pancakes with fruit and cream, not what he ordered . When I asked about my substitutions, an additional mushroom was brought in a small bowl for me. The mushroom itself was very watery and scaldingly hot.
