One of the longest-serving and most loved Bucks will don an AFC Telford United kit for the final time today.
After 17 years in the job, club mascot Bobby the Buck - portrayed by Steve Mott - will parade around the New Bucks Head for the final time at this afternoon's clash with Stamford.
Reflecting on his early days as Bobby, Mott revealed it was not just a case of sticking his hand up and volunteering. “Very," he said."I ran a marathon in that suit . I did it in seven hours, but I could have easily done it in five because I used to be really fit and enough of a good distance runner, but as soon as I got out onto the main roads, all the crowds along the marathon are just rows and rows of them, and I went straight to the crowds, high fiving the kids and mucking around.
