Norway's Caroline Graham Hansen has lashed out at her coach after she was benched during her side's second disappointing result at the FIFA Women's World Cup.
The 28-year-old was on the sidelines at the beginning of Tuesday's match before being brought on as a second half substitute. The contest ended in a nil-all draw.“I feel that my hands are tied behind my back. It would’ve been a bad outcome for me no matter what I had said done ahead of this match,” she said.
“I can’t really do anything about it, it’s a disappointing situation when I’ve been here for so long. People can say whatever they want about me, but I know I’m in good form and I know what I deserve. The winger returned to the side for the Women’s World Cup and played every minute in Norway’s 1-0 loss to New Zealand in the first match of the tournament.
