ImACeleb's Dean Gaffney’s love life from childhood sweetheart to affair
In a true blast from the past on Tuesday Eastenders icon Dean Gaffney returned to the I’m a Celebrity jungle, 17 years after originally appearing on the show back in 2006.
Yet away from our screens, Dean’s life is just as dramatic, with his love life in particular featuring more twists, turns and surprising revelations than even the South African jungle and Albert Square combined! Throughout the course of their relationship, Dean was romantically linked to several other women, including Sasha Levy, Linsey McKenzie and Maddie Stephens.
As Dean was married with two children at the time, Sasha’s parents didn’t feel it was appropriate for him to be out living the high life with Sasha, only to return to his partner and kids at the end of the evening. Prior to returning to EastEnders in 2016, Dean said he slept with Linsey, but described the entire experience as a “low point” in his career and life.
She told Sunday People: “He swept me off my feet by playing the big star. But he was so hopeless, rough and selfish between the sheets I knew it was doomed. The couple were together for a solid three years between 2016 and 2019 but were constantly dogged with criticism from fans, who struggled to tell Rebekah apart from Dean’s daughters.
Hoping to find another long lasting romance so he can once again settle down, Dean signed up to dating apps Hinge, Bumble, Raya and Tinder, according to The Sun.
