I'm A Celebrity star Myles Stephenson has shared a terrifying ordeal his two-year-old daughter Sahara experienced. The singer, who gained recognition as a member of the X Factor -winning band Rak-Su in 2017, took to Instagram to update his followers on the frightening incident. Myles recounted that Sahara had a seizure yesterday evening, stopped breathing, and turned blue.
The singer described the experience as the 'scariest thing I've ever seen,' emphasizing the sudden change in his daughter's health. He explained that Sahara's high temperature triggered a febrile seizure, urging parents of young children to research the condition. A febrile seizure, according to the NHS, can occur when a child experiences a high fever and can last for two to three minutes. While generally harmless and unlikely to cause long-term effects, these seizures can lead to temporary unconsciousness, stiffness, twitching, shaking, or jerking movements. Myles' partner, Keli Hall, also shared her anxiety on Instagram, expressing her desire to keep Sahara close after the frightening day. This incident comes after Myles bravely shared his family's struggles in 2023. He disclosed that their son, Shiloh, who was born in 2021, had suffered a stroke sometime before, during, or shortly after birth. Shiloh was diagnosed with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects one side of the body due to brain damage, often resulting from a stroke.Myles expressed the emotional toll of dealing with his son's condition, admitting to battling demons and the constant struggle to understand and cope with Shiloh's challenges. Despite the difficulties, Myles remains committed to raising awareness about hemiplegic cerebral palsy and supporting other families facing similar journeys. He and his Rak-Su bandmates, Ashley Fongho, Jamaal Shurland, and Mustafa Rahimtulla, shot to fame on The X Factor in 2017. Myles later participated in I'm A Celebrity in 2019, finishing in seventh place.
