Dr Chris McAuley has seen the worst the craze has to offer
Cheap cosmetic treatment abroad - such as teeth repairs - are growing in popularity. An increasing number of people are taking trips overseas to avoid sky-high costs here in the UK.
"These aren't the best dentists in Turkey, the treatment mode and styles that they use are very aggressive. Other issues which dentists often see from those who have had dental work done in Turkey are 'crowns' and 'bridges' needing replaced - while many dentists here won't entertain a patient for fear of legal action.
Dr Chris says the worst case scenario he has come across is when patients head to Turkey for a full set of veneers, which ultimately become infected and lead to the person needing dentures.
