I spent three months selling my clothes on Vinted, and there's a few things I did to make my account a success

Let's be honest, we've probably all had clothes lie dormant at the back of the wardrobe while somehow being convinced it will see the light of day again. It's also easy enough to miss a returns window and end up stuck with an item of clothing you know you'll never wear.

Having many friends and family members witness my success and therefore attempt to start up their own account, it became apparent to me how rare it is to sell so much and so fast. Many people struggle getting their account going, and some find themselves selling nothing at all. It also helps to try on the item of clothing if you can, as this allows buyers to see how it fits when worn. Buyers will often message you asking for something to be tried on if you hadn't already, so it's worth doing anyway to ensure a quicker process.

Measurements also allow people to determine whether or not something will fit them, as sizes vary from brand to brand. It also made sure I got no returns or queries after sales were complete, as buyers were armed with all of the information before purchasing. Your prices should also reflect how new the item is, how many times its been worn, the condition it is in and so on. For example, if something is new with tags, I would keep the price closer to what I bought it for, as opposed to if it was well-loved and maybe had a few imperfections.
