I am really hoping my daughter asks to begin a collection of Sylvanian Families
I have committed such a huge act of stupidity that I can’t quite believe it. I gave my kids a tin whistle.
As soon as it arrived I quickly realised I was hopeless, so without thinking handed it over to the kids. Was the sound of the tin whistle always this deafening? My poor dog Winston is traumatised by the noise – along with the entire household – so I’ve had to hide it.as a child but we didn’t have the money for such an extravagant toy. I used to call in to my next door neighbour because his sister had one and I got to play with it.
I only have myself to blame, however, because I really do get a kick out of going to the toy shop. It brings back all the excitement of my childhood and feels soOne thing I love is finding toys that I used to have as a child and seeing my kids play with them. I’m talking about the groan tube, a slinky, Swingball and the ever reliable Little Tikes car. Some of the toys I had when I grew up were so simple, yet I got hours of entertainment out of them.
