‘What you’re missing is the mood of the people.'

But what began as a fairly standard daytime TV political debate quickly started resembling Prime Minister’s Questions with better lighting and brighter blouses. Gloria, 86, argued: ‘The average public are fed up from the very beginning of the Labour party came in,’ before Kaye attempted to jump in.

‘Let me speak, for goodness sake’: Gloria Hunniford said ‘We voted in the Labour government, if the people decide they don’t want a Labour government, then they vote them out. ’‘What you’re missing is the mood of the people,’ she insisted. Things became even more awkward when Kaye directly asked her fellow panellist whether she personally voted Labour. Gloria bluntly shut the question down, responding: ‘I’m not telling you who I voted for.

’As the discussion grew increasingly heated, Gloria eventually raised her hand in frustration and snapped: ‘Kaye, just give me one second for goodness sake to speak. ’ At this point, Judi appeared to realise the atmosphere had become approximately three interruptions away from requiring a Speaker of the House.
