Romelu Lukaku declares he’s 'very happy to be back' at former club Inter Milan

Romelu Lukaku’s Chelsea nightmare has officially been brought to an end, the Premier League club confirming he’s completed his loan move back to former club Inter Milan.

News of the transfer was also confirmed in a short video posted by Inter in which the player said he was ‘very happy’.It’s a move that will be a welcomed relief for both clubs, with Inter looking to regain their Serie A title that Lukaku played a huge role in them winning in the 2020/21 season. Lukaku added: “It wasn’t meant to happen like that. The way I left Inter, the way I communicated with the fans, this annoys me, because this might not be the right time to say it, but back then it didn’t feel like the right moment either.“Now I think it’s right to speak, because I said that I will always have Inter in my heart and I genuinely hope to one day go back to play there.
