I May Destroy You
, which follows author Arabella - played by Michaela - as her life irrevocably changes after she is sexually assaulted in a nightclub. Speaking to , Michaela said the show - which she wrote and executive produced - was partly inspired after her drink was spiked by a stranger in a club. The series starts tonight - and it's already received glowing reviews.Michaela Coel is a 32-year-old British actress and writer who grew up in Hackney to Ghanaian parents. As well as being an actress, Michaela is a screenwriter, singer, songwriter, poet and playwright.
