Christmas music classic 'Last Christmas' by Wham! filmed the video in this snowy European village before its release 40 years ago.
Sadly, the chalet is a private house but I had to sneak a photo Snow-capped mountains, unwrapping presents by the fire, and George Michael ’s Last Christmas playing on repeat. Those were all the things I hoped to find when I headed to Saas-Fee, the resort village in the Swiss Alps where Wham! filmed the video for their iconic Christmas hit. It’s been 40 years since the world’s greatest festive tune was cruelly robbed of the number one spot by Band Aid.
After checking in, an app offers a series of clues to help you find the brooch that George gave to his ex-love in the music video. The brooch actually did go missing while filming, and was found by hotel staff outside in the snow.
