Sol de Janeiro's new Cheirosa 59 deodorant is the latest fragrance to join the Rio Deo line of aluminium-free, solid cream deodorants. Our beauty and wellness editor tries it out
Deodorant may not be the most glamorous beauty product, but it's certainly an essential one. Thankfully, Sol de Janeiro has created some that are as sensorially appealing as a deodorant can possibly get.
I was eager to see how this compared to my usual high street aerosol antiperspirants, so I tested it out before my reformer pilates class – here's how it performed...READ MORE: Copy Sabrina Carpenter's amber blonde hair colour for £5 with this handy product It's important to note that, unlike antiperspirants, deodorants like this one won't stop you from sweating, but instead eliminate odour, in this case with citric acid ester that prevent odour-causing bacteria from forming. Plus, of course, you've also got Sol de Janeiro's amazing fragrances here as well.
Like many solid deodorants, it does leave white marks if dark clothing rubs against it, but if you're careful while dressing it shouldn't be a problem. Pilates may not seem like the most intense workout but I do usually work up a slight glow, yet wearing Rio Deo I felt confident that I wasn't going to distract my fellow gym buddies.
