A former ECHO journalist has been selected to represent her country for an international bodybuilding competition. Jane Woodhead, 53, goes to Venice this month to compete in the WABBA International Mr and Mrs Universe contest in Venice as part of Team GB. She goes to Italy on the back of winning the British Bikini Masters over 50s category with UK Ultimate Physiques in 2023.
' Jane will compete in the over-45s bikini category at the Mr and Mrs Universe contest later this month and has worked hard to shed kilos off her off-season weight of 62kg, to get down to her stage weight of 49kg, which she will now need to maintain until the competition. Talking about the upcoming contest, Jane said: 'There will be around 1000 athletes from across Europe taking part - men and women but not all bikini athletes, obviously.
