'I transformed my council house on a benefits budget using Dunelm buys and £1 B&M goodies'
The savvy shopper then grabbed blinds from Dunelm for just £32, which completed the look of her new hallway.As for the top of the stairs, she explained: "I've got extra runner and I'm cutting and fixing it with panel pins. It's not finished though."
And for anyone else wanting to do something similar with their staircase, the DIY whizz shared her top tips. She said: "To place the runner straight, I measured the whole stair width. Mine measured 82cm total. So 41cm was exactly half way. I then marked my stair at that centre point. "From the half way mark, I measured 30cm outwards and marked it again. Then just make sure your runner edge is always lined up with your mark.
