The devices are becoming a popular way to dry laundry in the winter - and at a low cost
We're now in the midst of damp laundry season, with clothes taking weeks to dry and cluttering up homes. Not only does this create a disorganised look, but it can also affect air quality and lead to mould and damp issues if not properly ventilated.
Then, position the fan sideways towards the laundry airer for maximum air circulation through the clothes as they dry. If possible, place the airer in front of a radiator to speed up the process with warmer air, although this isn't necessary, reports the Mirror. According to Meaco, it costs merely 3p per hour to operate, compared to a tumble dryer which can cost over 85p per hour - a significant saving of 82p per hour.
When the tank is full, the machine automatically shuts off and displays an icon to remind you to empty it. The Meaco app also allows you to monitor the water tank levels, which is convenient, although I think it would be more useful if the app had a push alert feature so you'd receive a notification when the tank is full without having to open the app.
Verdict The 10L Meaco Arete Two is the smallest dehumidifier we tested at Mirror Choice, but it packs a punch. This compact Meaco excels at quickly drying laundry indoors when the weather is too wet and cold for outdoor drying.
