'I tried going sober for a month and almost slipped on 'Quitters' Day'. Imagine my horror when I realised I was about to become a statistic, a stereotype, and a quitter!'
Before attempting a full month of sobriety, I'd never really taken part in any similar challenges, nor really made any real New Year's resolution.
Up until Friday , I was actually feeling quite smug about how easily I'd given up drinking alcohol in January. As someone who regularly enjoys a glass of wine in the evening and a few drinks at the weekend, I thought breaking my habit would be a lot more stressful.Then Friday came along, the start of the second weekend of my challenge and I REALLY wanted a glass of wine.
